Trevor Leat first formed an interest in traditional baskets in the 1970's when he worked with a traditional creel maker in Cumbria.

Since then he has continued to develop his own sense of willow weaving, always looking to introduce a fresh flow and balance into his work that has its roots still within the tradition.
